Movement - Strength - Longevity
Move Better, Live Better
Learning to move better is the foundation to combatting the negative effects caused by a modern day lifestyle and helps eliminate the barriers associated with pain and injury. Longevity is always our primary focus and this starts with optimising how we move in relation to the demands of our daily lifestyle.
Despite age often being considered the main factor associated with pain and injury, it is often due to moving less and moving poorly that tends to be the main culprit. When it comes to human movement, the phrase “use it or lose it” is not just another myth hanging around the fitness industry. It describes the body's ability to be biologically efficient and adapt to the specific demands placed upon it. When we spend long hours sitting at a desk or living a sedentary lifestyle, we begin to lose the capacity for movement that we once had and it is when we exceed our capacity that injury and dysfunction can occur.
Moving more frequently is a start, but learning to move better is where real change begins to happen. We take a step back from traditional programming to ensure you have the necessary prerequisites from a joint health and movement capacity standpoint to help you live a pain free and physically active lifestyle for years to come. We will help you move, feel and function better than ever.
MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE

Movement
Our bodies are designed to move. When our joints function as intended, we have far greater capacity and movement variability to adapt and withstand the physical demands of everyday life. Thus in turn, we are able to mitigate the potential for injury and develop sporting performance.

Strength
Strength is fundamental to building resilience and adaptability in the human body. All ranges of motion that we possess at our joints require articular strength and neuromuscular control to allow us to move freely, safely and efficiently. Strength training helps "bulletproof" our body.

Longevity
Regular movement and strength based training helps maintain the health of our joints and greatly delays the onset of degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis. If you are feeling tight, in pain or unable to do the things you love, learning to move better is the key to improving your quality of life.
What Makes Us Different?
We provide a systematic approach that combines assessment, treatment and training interventions all in one location to give you the care and guidance needed to maximise your results and to help you better understand your body.
From our experience within the healthcare and fitness sector, there is often an unnecessary divide between the approaches used by therapists within a clinical setting and that of coaches working within a training facility. This often creates unwanted confusion, sub-standard results and frustration when being constantly referred to different practitioners. We eliminate these discrepancies to provide a service that allows us to implement both hands-on treatment and specific training inputs based solely on your individual needs.
We integrate industry leading and evidence based training systems to ensure we provide the best possible service to our clients. We understand that each individual is different and just because two people may have the same type of condition, does not necessarily mean they receive the same interventions. By having numerous tools in our tool box, we are able to choose the most appropriate course of action for the person in front of us.
